Excellent on crackers, tortilla chips, and even toast!
4 c garbanzo beans (approx. 3 cans. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup liquid.)
1 c sesame seeds (ground)
7 clv garlic (minced)
3/4 c lemon juice
3 tbsp Tamari
2 tbsp cumin (ground)
1/4 tsp red pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1/4 c parsley (dried)
Can be made in advance and frozen for later use.
Place all ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth. Add additional liquid from garbanzo beans as desired to arrive at a spreading consistency. Best when chilled and covered overnight.
