Leafy green vegetables are superb for an overtaxed liver. Parsley is a mild diuretic and celery helps cleanse the liver, lymph glands and aids digestion. The perfect detox juice.
3 leaves kale, roughly chopped
1 small handful of parsley
1/2 apple, roughly chopped
1 stick medium of celery, chopped
1/2 medium cucumber, chopped
small piece of fresh ginger, peeled & chopped
When you are caring for and nourishing your body ~ do try to use all organic ingredients. You are worth it!
Don’t worry about exact amounts, feel free to adjust any of the ingredients to what you enjoy, and have fresh in your fridge or garden ~ this just gives an idea of a healthy combination.
If your fruit and veggies are organic, you don’t have to peel them (except the fresh ginger)
Juice altogether in a blender and drink up! Make sure the ginger is chopped fairly well in order to incorporate into your smoothie.
(if you are investing in a blender, purchase the most heavy-duty motor you can afford. (eg. the VitaMix is an excellent choice) You’ll be able to mix so many smoothie, soup etc. combinations without burning out a smaller motor ~ and you hardly have to chop the food, it does all the work.)
