1) The Healthy Breast Program is a Business
The Healthy Breast Program was created by Sat Dharam Kaur ND in an effort to reduce risk of breast cancer or its recurrence in women globally. It began as a series of workshops on breast health taught by Sat Dharam Kaur in 1990, and was then elaborated in her books, A Call to Women, published in 2000, and The Complete Natural Medicine Guide to Breast Cancer, published in 2003.
The Healthy Breast Program is a business owned and managed by Sat Dharam Kaur. The purpose of the business is to promote the Healthy Breast Program through teaching workshops, and creating Healthy Breast Educators who can spread the program.
The Healthy Breast Program is an intensive twelve-part learning program designed to educate women and girls in strategies to reduce the risk of breast cancer and to assist recovery from the disease using natural therapies in conjunction with conventional diagnostic and treatment options. The Healthy Breast Program encompasses lifestyle, diet, nutritional therapies, breathing practices, kundalini yoga, meditation, exercise and psychospiritual work.
The Healthy Breast Program is comprised of three learning streams, each consisting of 12 modules: 1) the Healthy Breast Foundations program; 2) the Healthy Breast Yoga Program and; 3) the Healthy Breast Practitioner Program.
2) The MammAlive Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization
The MammAlive Foundation is managed primarily by a volunteer board of directors, regional coordinators and healthy breast educators who are passionate about educating women how to care for their breasts to reduce cancer risk. We believe that guidance, education and support can help reduce the breast cancer risk, accelerate healing and improve wellbeing.
The mission of the MammAlive Foundation is to educate and empower women globally to make healthy dietary and lifestyle changes, enhance understanding of their bodies, and increase awareness of the impact of the environment on their health, to reduce risk of breast cancer now and in future generations.
We envision that our efforts will decrease the rising global incidence of breast cancer.
